the new guy and his 318is

hi peeps just thought i'd write a quick hello msg introducing myself as the newbie. bought a 318is my first bmw a week ago of ebay needs abit of work but thats all part of the fun. at the moment its wearing a tec2 replica fibreglass kit a powerflow system thats seen better days and an awful shadeof pearlescent turquoise.

WOT DO I DO?????
1. aftermarket bodykit
2. genuine tech 2 kit
3. is it possible to convert a tech 1 kit to fit a 1990 model


also the interior has definitely died a death having rear leather seats in black with grey leather rear door cards and the front is standard not tomention the 12" holes in either rear doorcard

wot eva i do it'll be resprayed in black as soon as the body is complete and lowered over a set of 18" alloys undecided which though yet

Suggest you get the cars mechanics sorted before anything else. Even though they are BMs they don't like being neglected for long in that dept.

The zone is a great source for advice and spares; original bodykit etc. always available on here at better than egay prices.

mechanics are sweet as a nut really got receipts for everything from last 2 years its also immaculate under the bonnet. just wanna get it lookin the part now so i'm focusing on the exterior and the interior so come on peeps tell me wot ya think cheers

Pictures of your car i think would invite a few suggestions from others as theyll then have something to work from!

In my opinion Mtec2 kits should be left on Sports,but saying that there are some lovely non sport kitted ones on here.

I say put the body back to standard iS spec including front lip and maybe even SE sideskirts and Tec1 boot spoiler,but im biased to these

Oh and Black leather looks good in any E30

Black leather is definately a good idea, looks amazing when its in. I know of a good set for Ԛ£300 (scott325se), and ive got a set of black door cards too in great condition, these together look fantastic.

how much would i be looking at for original is bumpers don't think i'll change me spoiler thou its got the tech 2 fitted (i think ???) and i'm getting quite attached to it just had a look at ur is eko if only mine looked that good at the moment lol ! if it worth doin its worth doin rite so it'll be gettin totally stripped in the next few days.

Mine has changed a bit from the sig pic,try to do at least 1 thing each week

Replacement standard bumpers are easily available on here and cheap too,maybe Ԛ£15-20 each?
Front iS lip around Ԛ£35-50
SE sides around Ԛ£25-30ish
