E30 Alpina 2.7 C2

Hi

I'm trying to identify a Alpina engine?

I've bought a 325I and the seller has said that the engine is from an Alpina C2.
The engine block is stamped 2.7 continued with a number.
The inlet manifold looks just like a standard 325i.

Any ideas of how I can possible determine this is a Alpina 2.7

If you look on the side of the head you will find a 4 digit engraving.

Go to passenger side and its just at the side of the head behind the dizzy cap. It will be hard to see.

On the bottom of the block, passenger side - remove airbox. Look right down the bottom and you'll see a tab - should say C2 27.

The rocker cover should have initials engraved on it somewhere.
