are they the same and also which models have rear discs
i need all the bits for the rear handbrake and im hoping the saloon is the same as my touring
dont ask! someone decided to take all the shoes adjuster and linkages out for some reason!

I have had to work on the rear brakes of a 1989 325 four door and a 1990 320 touring. The rear discs and hand brake look the same to me. I would say that as a rough guide the 320, 325 and probably the 318is had rear discs. You could always compare part numbers and models at this site http://www.realoem.com/bmw/

They are identical mate, starting from 318is-320 etc
Just make sure you get the spring's the right way round :wink:

All tourings, 325, 318iS and anything with ABS have rear discs.

thanks that going to be easier to find then

now had anyone got someor breaking a rear disc braked car :)
