I received the blue temp sensor today :D , for my M40 engine - hopefully this will be goodbye to a lumpy power delivery and poor fuel economy.

Is there anything special required in the process of fitting it, or is it as simple as unplugging the old one and fitting in the new one? No idling of the car required for 20 mins while the ECU adjust fuelling or whatever?

Cheers

Cheers Ant, nice one :thumb:

Can I not set the idle mixture myself? Or is it over to a garage....

Rught guys, I've just looked under the engine bay, from the passenger side of the car and cannot see the blue temp sensor for toffee?

I have an idea where it is, (followed the wire from the air flow meter to somewhere in the engine behind the inlet manifold) therefore I can't see it, and I definately can't get to it.

Can anyone shed some light please, i'm dying to get this changed!

No too sure on an m40 but look around the thermostat housing.Should see a couple of coolant hoses going to it.
