You have probably already noticed a change in the layout of the forum. The reason for this is the opening of our new section the "Non E30 BMW" forum.
The new layout should make it easier to navigate and post in the correct sections. As always, any feedback is greatfully received and always discussed by the team.
I hope you all find it to be an improvement.

Bit confused as to the reason for this mate?E30Adam wrote:You have probably already noticed a change in the layout of the forum. The reason for this is the opening of our new section the "Non E30 BMW" forum.

Do you mean for people with E36's etc to post in this new forum or just people who don't own E30's/BMW's in general?
ie; the gent with the mini, is he not welcome?
or; is this way just more organised?

Yep I don't get it, seems to be a bit of a pointless change, for change's sake. I may stand corrected but you don't appear to have added a Non E30 Chat section, so the reorgaisation seems redundant...

I think it's a bit pointless if I'm honest, everyone knew where to post before.
I can't find the "Non E30 BMW" forum either

Seems resonable to me..
too much general chit chat going on in the general section which is where most newcomers would go first
hence all they see now is good ol e30 talk..

Seeing as E30Adam put it in inverted commas and said it was a "new section" I'm not sure about that mate.Simon13 wrote:non e30 chat is in the pub talk! der!!!

Looks good to me, i think Adam might mean there's going to be a new section soon and this change is to get the zone in a more organised state ready for it!
Could be wrong though!

Well , the change is already in place folks, it was discussed and given the thumbs by all concerned, in effect the change only means if you have a BMW you can now post happily on your own section.
As some of us are e30 shod, but have a second BMW on the driveway its a damn fine idea.
This change is positive folks! lets see what happens.
If you feel the section is superflous( sp ?) dont use it , end of

He means shouldn't you finish the members E30's section where Alpina and Modified E30's still have dead links before you start reorgainsing th layout.

Sorry, my excuse is that I'm tired!
Maybe there isn't anything that's been submitted to start these sections yet, I shall bring it up with the main man, see what he says!

New layout looks ok to me, not much difference.
Is the non-bmw e30 section for all other bmws or any sort of car?

I welcome the change but i started a post about this a couple of weeks ago: http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... ic&t=28621
and adam gave some good answers, which was aimed not directly but to clarify reasons for the e30 zone and why it is here, and all the people that moaned at me to put this post up never logged on once to view there opinions that they were giving me an ear ache about, so i think if they see this post and the new change they should be kissing adams butt, big time! if the new section is for non e30 vehicles.

Excuse me, either I've had too much chianti with my Bolognese, or there seems to be some very confused replies on this thread.
OK. I've spotted the new layout, nice, but where the fook is this new section? If I've read the posts correctly it doesn't show until someone posts in it. So how the fooking hell do you post in something that's not there??????
And why does Simons Alpina (well done mate) need to be posted in the new section? I thought an Alpina was a modified E30 so automatically qualifies to go where the fook it wants IMHO.
Will someone please translate this thread into English that your average chav can understand and TELL US WHERE THE NEW SECTION CAN BE FOUND.
Going to open the 2nd bottle now

not a bad idea, as long as there isnt any slagging of "them in e36Ԛ´s" and so on, i think itԚ´ll prove invaluable to those moving away from the e30 ranks but still staying BMW.
also should boost the numbers eh?

The problem with the Members E30 section is our current hosting service is pants, not allowing for extra disk space and extra bandwidth required for the section to function correctly.

it can't hurt as long as it's kept E30 massive. Handy in the fact we can learn about other bmw's with out having to find another forum. I like all BMW's none i hate, but E30 comes top at the mo!
By keeping that section small it keeps it mainly on E30's, and in my eyes is worthy but u can't let it get too big or take over otherwise E30zone is a pointless exercise
it would end up Ezone and a load of junkies living from the 90's might end up on here trying relive their youth from sweety nite clubs in white t-shirts with neon lights.............

To clarify:
We now have an E30 Chat section to chat about E30s.
We also have a Other BMW chat section to talk about other BMWs.
In the first one we talk about E30s and in the second we talk about other BMWs.
I think that it is pretty clear ?

Guys, I do apologise, when Adam created the new BMW chat section, it's still showing as a private section, so only us mods can see it...I was wondering why nobody was posting in there!!!
It should appear pretty soon!!

Thanks to the guys who have given their support for the new section. Fear not, it will not overtake the essence of this forum as a whole which is clearly E30 geared.
bajandaan: The new forum was infact sparked by your previous thread. Having this sections still keeps the forum focused primarily on the E30 but allows a bit of non E30 BMW chat too.
On a separate note, I am disapointed in the way some are too keen to jump in with having digs for what appears to be no apparent reason. The forums are self explanatory and the announcements explained very clearly what was happening. There was just a very small error where I forgot to make the forum public for all to see, this is the only thing that might have caused some confusion.

That was what caused the confusion Adam.
I see what you have done now, we will just have to see how it goes.
Better a non E30 BMW chat section than an any make chat section.
