Hi guys. I wondered what all the cab owners out there were running?

I have some kenwoods in the door, but what do they run in the rear of the car? What sizes can be fit etc?

Any pics would be nice!!

Cheers

I'd be interested in this too....

My footwell ones need replaces (keep popping), and my rear panel ones don't do anything and i really would like to replace them all with some decent sounding speakers, but not sure what wil fit.

Don't want to cut out the dorrs or anything like that.... just wanna replace the dead stock ones.

K guys..

First make sure that the popping isn tyer speakers hitting the footwell covers as mine were..

I have Alpine 13cm conponents in the back which are hidden behind the speaker covers

and the same size but deeper more powerfull Alpine's in the front footwels though they too were 'farting' at high volume

As a tip i used the original speaker grills and placed thm on the speakers before i fixed the footwells in place which pushed the covers out enough to stop the farting i was getting..

these are running from crossovers which are now connected to newly purchased Wing-mirror tweeter pods

BTW, i have some 13cm fullrange coax Kenwoods if yer intrested.. they sounded exellent even running of a 1400w JBL amp so there more than capable..i only changed em cuz i got the mirror pods and had a lil swap around with the config...

They replaced the standard rear CAB speakers with no probs

*EDIT* Just thought this is ICE so the mods might want you to PM me regarding em

I use MB quart 5 1/4" front components with the tweater in the stamdard BMW pod by the wing mirror. running off an Alpine V12 MRV 307 - A pair
of MB quart 5 1/4 Co-axials in the rear also off the V12 and 2 JL 12" subs
of an Alpine MRD 1001. I sounds ok but never as good as it would in a Tin Top
