Well my heaters broken, it all started a few days ago when it stopped working on 1,2 and then 3. So I thought it'll be the heater resistor, but it today it started making a screeching noise so I flicked the controls a few times and then it stopped DEAD!

Is this the motor that had it?

Sounds like the motor bearings have seiezed. I'd get a good second hand one rather than fanny about with the original.

I've never had an E30 motor to bits but would imagine it's got bronze bushes rather than proper ball bearings, if this is the case you won't be able to get new bushes.

Cheers,

If you take the panel off the bulkhead so that you can see the motor, you'll be able to lubricate the bushes & it may well start working again. Chances are that it won't last long though, so I'd just swap the motor while you've got the panel off - easy enough to do... :thumb:
