Hi guys ,

i have been offered a H-plate BMW hartge convertible!

spec:

Left hand drive
mauritus Blue
elec roof
16inch split rim hartge alloys
full mtech original kit
blue leather
recent respray
full history from Germany

was originally bought form munich legends

any ideas how much this would be worth i know the wheels are rare @(16inch 3 piece original hartge rims)

any ideas would be appreciated plus is it worth converting to righ hand drive eventually?

The valuation was considered using the following points.

1. Its the only RHD Hartge H27 convertible ever made. Uniqueness.

2. Comparable cars to replace it are mint examples of M3 Convertible

3. Birds UK and HARTGE DE prices to rebuild a convertible to the original H27 specification were in the region of 10k plus a donor car.

4. True its an E30 but the valuation was arrived using the above facts.

I know of an H27 engine which as far as I know will be up for sale soon.....I have no interest in the engine but can forward a contact number onto you. Or are you looking for a complete car ?????

fair enough ian if its the only one, still feel its slightly excessive, i would expect an Alpina b6 3.5s to be valued at that amount

Understand your opinion and respect it.

However, as I mentioned previously it is done on a maths basis to replace if totalled or stolen.

They based the figure on the Ԛ£9,700 plus vat which Birds quote to convert a good solid Convertible (??how much??) which comes out to the valuation figure.

I have just about full service history, various magazine shoots and articles plus the confirmation from Birds UK that this was the only RHD Hartge convertible ever produced.

High figure, yes I agree but its rare as rocking horse crap !!!!!
