Keep your Scorpion. They arent the best exhausts but you'll not like the Mongoose. Fit isnt very good and its quite loud.

I do recall RSTurbo50 having one and said it sounded crap.

Exhaust choices arent exactly huge for us boys.

Scorpion, Mongoose, Sebring. Sebring is by far the best out of these in every way.

I did hear a really nice custom system on a cab at Aces - he also had a before and after dyno with no losses. I will see what it was.

Sal! Looks like you're about..nice.

tempted for an exhaust myself and was leaning towards Mongoose given the fact that Scorpion lose bottom end torque. Any suggestions?
Not that I'm unhappy with the current standard system.

I wont be selling you a Mongoose from the feedback Ive had.

I can only recommend Sebring and Supersprint.

Scorpions - you'll defo need mapping to regain some of the torque you lose.

I like my Mongoose, its fits OK TBH, just the hangers need a bit of a tweak to get it spot on.

proper council 2 x 3.5 inch tailpipes

You only got the back box thats why. Try fitting it to a Mongoose Centre section and you'll understand where Im coming from.

Tail pipes only look good with Mtec rear valence.

Ah yea, I've also been looking at Sebring vaguely, good point on mapping - hence why I want an exhaust before it is first mapped.. winkeye

Even after remapping only some of the torque will be regained with scorpion - its that centre section!

Sebring exhausts are superb. Best exhausts ive come accross so far.

Do you need just the back box?

Perhaps a back box will suffice Sal, I don't want angled tips though (currently have this on the standard item and hence the need for a new exhaust). Don't wanna break the bank - who doesn't, but if I settle for a back box then i don't wanna be paying full system prices.

You will not be dissapointed with a sebring, as the saying goes, you pays your money...

The build quality is superb, and sound top, not too loud and obtrusive, but sound great when giving it some.
Tailpipes angle slightly, but nothing like the standard pipes!

And here's some pics of the back box when I removed it..

Nice, when I read they were angular I feared the worst.

The tail pipes which fit the 3 piece system are much more angled unfortunately for those who dont like this.

Therefore Jimbob wont be buying a Sebring back box as he needs a 3 piece system back box.

If you want to just fit a back box then the choice are:

Scorpion (buy a 2nd hand one - I may be able to sort you out)
Supersprint

The supersprint has straight pipes like the Sebring and wont be loud unless you boot it.

Alternatively spend 500 quid and I can make your car sound like no other E30 - speak to Demlot, Ant and Masterbates as to how the Silver Alpina sounds.
