indicator stalk query

I just replaced my standard indicator stalk for an obc compatable one. The lights/indicators work ok despite the original stalk having an extra 2 pin plug that joined another loom on the column. Anyone know what this is?

All the E30s I've come across have, but I'm not in the Netherlands.
If you push the indicatorstalk fully up or fully down after the key is removed, then the appropriate parking lights on that side, front and rear, should illuminate

The pre facelift cars didn't have the side parking light function, that's probably where your stalk came from.

I know a sport that has that function, but that could be just on those.

ive got a 318 cab and its got that function. Didnt even realise till my little neice was playin in my car and she turned it on.

all mine have had this feature?

As Simon says (put your hands on your head) didn't ALL the facelift cars have this function?

If your facelift car doesn't have it, does this mean it is broken?
