Hi Guys, recently purchased a 318Is from a fellow Zoner (AndyMN) and thought I would just say Hi to you all.

Here is the Wee Beastie:

I already have some questions regarding the car (horn not working and small things like that) but I will post them in the right section rather than do a one for all.

I guess my most basic question is what service/repair manual do you guys use?, I generally go for Haynes through lack of choice, is there any better for the E30 keeping in mind that I am a very basic mechanic (oil change etc).

Thanks in advance and Hi to you all.

Hi,

If you're happy to splash out about Ԛ£40, the bentley manual is well worth the money - although it does not cover the 318is  but will be fine for a 318i.

Hello and welcome.
Haynes manual is rubbish for the E30
Everyone raves about the Bentley Manual but it doesnt cover the M40 engine, so i didn't buy one.

Nice car BTW.

Doh! Sorry, just realised you also have an IS

The bentley manual is good for 90% of the car, although the only manual I know of that covers the M42 engine is the E36 haynes manual (although it is not that good).

:D You have a piece of history there. She looks fantastic. Try to avoid Modding the looks to much, those wheels are the biz. Look after her, she is arguably the best E30 they made. Ps The horn is behind the front spoiler on the right. It will be full of water. Eurocarparts do a relacment for about Ԛ£13.00. Get the loud one. The old one will be f#c#ed.
