Hi all, just joined (again) as I've purchased another E30 (my first is in the 316 section - the white one). Joined this site in it's infancy with CeasarBob, Adam and Simon etc...

About the car, I have no pictures of the E30 as yet, but I've given it a clean and damn it's a good one! I have pics of both my golf's though

Image
My 1.3, blew the engine and is awaiting funds for a new lump.

Image
The GTI, been fully cleaned and valeted since this picture (and yes, the coilies and wheels were pinched from the 1.3 :D

Forgot how much more refined the E30 was to a Golf!

Thanks guys! Fair play, they are loads of fun around roundabouts, the coilovers really help it grip! Any way, plans for the E30 are some 8x15 Schmidt modernlines, a phat exhaust and some lowering (already got the kit, but may upgrade to coilovers at some point if I don't trade it in for an E30 cab - dream car, same colour as yours Nav :D )

Thats two dubsters moved over in a week. Love the 15 inch steelies on the golf, they are worth a bit of money...well as far as steelies go, but i'm sure you already know this.

Welcome back to the e30zone, i'm sure you'll enjoy your stay

The more i look at those golfs the more i want my old one back. It was my first car, i bought it when i was 16 and a bit, spent many hours "tidying" before i was even 17. How sad. Mk2's rock.

Your 1.3 looks rather nice without the door mouldings/rubbing strips, its begging for a 20v turbo engine

There is loads of holes on the door of the 1.3. Not sure whether you are aware of that or not. Looks taste other than that though.....

Didn't see them, its too late, my eyes don't work properly :? I'm sure they are waiting to be filled, or the rubbing strips put back on.

Thanks for the comments! The holes in the door, a long story. Looked for a set of the thin GTI strips for ages, then found some, and now can't get round to getting to the dealers or on ebay to find the clips to put them on!

And 20vT? How did you know winkeye

How much did you get for the cab Nav?

Will all these Veedub converts stop posting pics of their Golfs please, i've been fighting the urge to buy another Mk1 for nearly two years and i'm finding it too hard seeing theses pics  so nearly bought a Corrado before my E30 aswell.

By the way welcome and you made a good choice with the E30

Well me and the lads have come up with a plan for all the cars now. The green one is going road legal track day with a 16V KR lump and competely stripped out with matt paint

The GTI will be my road fun car, tweak the 8V lump a bit, get it looking clean and nice and the E30 will be the cruiser, sounds, Schmidt ML's, lowered, nice exhaust :D

Thats the plan anyway, the GTI may have to go, we'll see what happens

Good question! They both have their plus points, if I'm in the mood for a blat, the GTI, can chuck it about and it's got a good bit of grunt. The BMW is more for the slow cool cruise out with my mates or something.

All this talk of MK2 Golf's have prompted my post.

I've currently got a H Reg Mk2 driver, with all the GTI kit on it, sat on my drive.

Head Gaskets gone, but its being done next weekend.

I am wanting to sell it and use the money on my tech 1 which needs alot of work on. Or a swop could be arranged if you've got any Tec 1 bits I need.

The bodywork is mint (Red) and its got alloys and big exhaust on it.

Anyone interested? will post some pictures later if anyone wants a look?

It needs a bit of work, but for anyone that knows what theyre doing, (I dont!), you could have a really nice looking MK 2 here......

Let me know if you want some pic's and I'll post them.

I'll ask around for you mate, but I can't buy another car, got 3 already! 8O

Been offered some ATS cups in 8x15 with tyres for half a grand, tempted...
