i just noticed earlier that some moron has used a trolley jack, positioned from the side, on my front jacking points on the sills...
the result is that the vertical lip has been folded flat!!! has anyone managed to successfully repair this?
failing that, does anyone know of a decent jack i can store in the boot side bins on my touring that will allow me to reach the chassis rails?
oh yeah, it's lowered which adds to the fun!
may be worth carrying one of those puncture repair goo cans...
jacking point damage

Any car that's ever been near a fast (or similar meaning word) fit tyre place has this kind of damage. A wide bladed screwdriver or chisel to start it lifting, then pipe pliers or mole grips to finish the job.
Rust sets in if it's left like this for too long, so paint properly afterwards.
I see its a Touring, so carefull of the side skirts.
A can of tyre inflator/sealer is always a good idea to carry anyhow.
