At this point in time my MOTORSPORT is insured on a combined policy with my 635csi which will be due at the end of march.
I want to insure the cab with an agreed value how do i get it valued or how much should i insure her for.
Cheers
Ryan

I have an agreed value policy on my classic car (NSU Prinz). The valuation was done by an official of the owner's club. I think most insurance companies will want something like that. Some might be willing to take your work for it, but if you have to claim they will ask the inspecting engineer for his opinion on the value of the vehicle prior to damage. Ask the insurance company what they want, they will tell you.

With mine I had to list all my mods, show all receipts and take loads of pictures close ups and from different angles then send it in.

Join the BMW car club and Ron Parrish will do the valuation for you as he's the main man for the E30's there. He also posts here and has a vast knowledge of E30 so know's what to look for. He done both my valuations for the Rieger and my blue cab

I spent ages ringing around to find an insurance company who would do agreed value insurance - then I found Lancaster [someone on here directed me their way I think] and have now got my Motorsport cab insured for Ԛ£8-10k. Munich Legends did a valuation letter for me to send to Lancaster, as I bought the car from them, and I had to send them 6 pics like bigdek said.

I too am with Lancaster and have agreed valuation.
Bens points are valid but to summarise:
1. Join BMW Car Club (also membership will give you 10% discount at stealers).
http://www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/
2. Contact Ron Parish and discuss valuation.
3. Contact
http://www.lancaster-ins.co.uk/
4. Photos x 6 plus any other supporting documentation and all should be good for agreed valuation.
