i have a 325i on a H plate, recently when i have been parking my car up i have heard boiling water in the water tank and today it was boiling out through the sides of the cap on the water tank..

i think my radiator has a small leak but that will be replaced soon but the boiling water is getting me worried

i have previously leaked the radiator to get rid of the air locks but when i squeeze the radiator pipes, it feels like there is no water in them..

i have read through previous topics about boiling water but nothing seems to fix it..

any more ideas...

yeh seems to be..

car does not overheat when driving, stays below half with heaters on...

only when i leave the engine on and parked up..

it leaks water from the overflow pipe due to the boiling up of water..

If the car cools as your driving and not when your stopped it could be that the viscous fan coupling is buggered and not turning the fan fast enough as the car warms up through being stationary !
