E30 M3- Whats it like as a daily driver?

If I decide to invest I wil be using it regularly. Is this a good idea or is it a strictly weekend car? I will have a van aswell so will use that in the rain.

well mine's a daily driver. parked on ther street. Use it in all weathers (snow was fun). Sure it's not a modern car, but it's not that bad either.
LHD is not a problem IMO,

i use mine everyday and i love it driving in snow was fun but going out to your m3 every morning turn the key and to hear that engine no better way to start the day if you ask me

I use mine every day, absolutely no probs at all, its a bit more difficult to drive than some cars due to the lack of torque in the low revs but other than that iv never had any probs driving it around.

Do be prepaired for the questions "are you selling that mate" "is it a 325" and "what body kit is that" though!

Is it quite flat in low revs mate? I need to have a drive/ride in one to see what its like.

The road M3 is standard with 215bhp.........correct me if i'm wrong lad's (Not an M3 owner)

Mines doesnt suffer from any loss of lbft low down.

i used my m3 cab every day for two years with no probs at all and some weeks i was doing 700 miles in it, infact it was cheaper than my 3dr cossie on fuel

I dont own an M3 yet but my does altho he lives in essex and is up here pretty often. But the cars being pretty much rebuilt at the moment

Think you will find you need to work the g/box a bit more around town but generally no problem

Silver is a pretty common colour, you should be able to find one easily, dark blue is rare, they only made macau M3's as evo 2's or cecotto's

Yep agreed thats why i mentioned you need to work the g.box
They don't like pulling from low revs in a high gear , but keep them on the power band and

Must be just me then, i dont find it any worse than a 325i or anyother car. I dont have to work the gears at all, infact it pulls much better lower down than my 318is and a few 325i ive driven.

Im going to a rolling road day in a few weeks so maybe the graph will help with some info.

Agree with Andrew... even my 320iS had more low end grunt than my 318iS... and it was much more driveable.
