I heard my gong for the first time this morning

It sounds like the gong in an airplane.

"please fastent ur seats, please".

we are about experience the e30 driving experience.

I thought I ll let every know.

If you have the 13 button OBC then just set the speed limiter to something low .... you can "bong" as often as you like !!

If you've got one it's mounted in the drivers under dash panel.

Amazing how many people hear mine and are surprised that my "old car" has such a sophisticated device!

Mine doesn't work either, but a few months ago i noticed that in the underdash panel, not connected to anything. Will have to try and find the corresponding wiring loom, then i can hear my bong too :D

first time i got my car that kept pissing me off. i never knew what it was. didnt no if it was good or bad!
mine does it when its 3C
there is another one but i still dont know what its for. :s

hehe, nice... Only thing is mine BONGS everytime i start her up, my outside temp sensor is missing so it always reads -30'c. :mad:

IIRC it bongs at 3c to warn you of possible black ice ( The worse kind) on the road, then also for the speed limit and I think.. for when the reserve tank light come on???
