Please be gentle with me, I'm a newbie to all this.

I've just bought an 87 325i sport, no where near perfect, but got it for peanuts so I dont mind spending a few bob on it. I'm not overly mechanically minded, but can usually do most things, with the help of a couple of mechanically minded mates!

I've had a few e30's, but no I have more time on my hands, am looking forward to putting some time and effort in on it.

I've seen a few Diagnostic CD's advertised on e bay, such as the following one:

Are these worth the money, or is there something better?

Any advise would be appreciated.

I think this will be an on going project, and hopefully you good people on here will provide me with lots of friendly helpful advice!!

I will upload some pictures tomorrow, and welcome any comments and advice anyone may have.

Welcome to the Zone, that CD looks a bit different from the normal one but the add seems more concerned about BHP than any real detail so it seems a bit suspect :?

The disc's are only any good for the technical details and even then there a bit sketchy, have a look at this website it's basicaly whats on the ETK disc and covers all the part numbers.

Thanks for that, it looks a very useful tool!

Next question,(and they'll be a few more before I've finished!), what is the difference between an normal 325 and the sport version?
