Im having idle problems to. My car is idling far to high especially when cold, its up to as much as 1800 rpm in some cases. This only started happening recently, I think i may have confused the ICV when I took it off and cleaned up some of the crap inside it , obviously this was not a good thing to do as now its proper confused lol. It dont seem to be quite as bad when its warm though, but it still miss behaves in trafffic. If I dab the pedal in traffic sometimes it settles down, so Im going to see if the cables need cleaning/some lube.
I would imagine your situation is pretty similar? If it is, then im pretty sure the ICV is to blame! Its a bit delicate! Im going to put some carb cleaner through it later, if not I might just buy a new one though they are quite expensive.
Have you done any work to it recently? Touched anything? Or has it always done this. Maybe you have an air leak somewhere.

i have replaced the idle control valve recently ( with a second hand one ), it became slightly better but still not perfect..
i was thinking to clean the idle control valve inside with fuel but i'm not sure if its a good idea...
