No need for any labour costs - it's all fairly easy DIY stuff.
If you replace both front control arms complete, both control arm bushes, and both ARB links with the best quality stuff that Eurocarparts can supply, then the parts bill will be about Ԛ£160-00, and you shouldn't have to touch the front suspension again for many years.

This is probably still the cheaper, and definitely better, route even if you do get someone to do the work for you.

Good point.. The guy at the test station has quoted Ԛ£260 all in and a re-test. Looking at the figures above, this is a good deal, and i'd rather him have the trouble of getting the old ones out.. :D

But it's interesting to hear other peoples ideas.. at least i know i'm not being ripped off..

thanks guys

I make the parts to come to just over Ԛ£117 using the good quality parts, add another Ԛ£10 to have a garage change the bushes, and do the job yourself, anti-roll bar links are very easy, control arms are also just as easy too!

My parts total was for both control arms complete, to avoid putting a new bush on an arm that will fail next year.
Obviously, if the arm shows signs of having been replaced recently, then this would not be neccessary.

This is what I meant..

GSF prices are..

Ԛ£38 for control arm
Ԛ£6 bush
Ԛ£12 anti-roll bar link

Plus delivery comes to Ԛ£117

Did you get your arms from the dealer?

Blimey but they're decent prices. Do they include VAT?

I got my prices from the Eurocarparts catalogue, and only added them up roughly, but did add on VAT and a bit for carriage. Might be a bit high.

Over Ԛ£50 gets free shipping with GSF :D I have just replaced exactly what's listed, it is an easy DIY job if you've got a splitter.. The garage that did the MOT even pressed the bushes in for free winkeye
