Hi All, it's been many years since I posted, good to see the place still ticking over.

I have a big fuel leak that seems to be coming from the top right side of the tank but only when the engine is running. I've not had a chance to get underneath and give it a proper inspection, hopefully it's not a rusty tank as it isn't excessively old. What's the most likely culprit? Cheers.

High chance the old rubber hoses have started to fail at the ends.

Beware of new aftermarket fuel hoses, 95% of fuel hose is not fit for purpose, id highly recommend you buy from BMW

Excellent point. I made the mistake of (unintentionally) buying the wrong spec fuel hose and after only using E5 for two years I've already had to replace some. Make sure the hose you buy is from a reputable source and is R10 spec.
