just fitted 60/40 spax adjustables all round on my 325i... it has 17" alpina reps with 205/40/17 tyres. on full lock it tears the paint off the small lip on the front arches. is this normal :?

you'd get away with it if the alpina replicas were the right offset! iirc they're about ET20 so the sit out very wide. mine scrubbed like a bugger but when i changed to 16's in ET28 they were fine.

you'd probably get away with it if you go -40 on the front....

do you reckon there is any chance of maybe skimming the wheel slightly to bring them in a bit ?

BUGGER..!!

I have just bought a set of 17" Alpina Reps, (picking up tomorrow from Dazleeds) and my car is as low as f##k .. I'm going to keep an eye on this thread..!!

if yours are the BK racing ones (plastic centre caps, siamesed bolt holes) then you would have to be insane to machine anything off! in my opinion, these are lethal enough as it is! :eek:

ya i agee to machine anything of would be very difefficult, you would need a pritty big lathe or miller plus you might damage them when you clamp them some how? wouldn't you be better to sell them and by som e more with the right offset or go an inch smaller?
