Guys we’ve been chasing an over fueling/stalling issue on my facelift 320i auto. I won’t bore you with all the details but after numerous time spent testing ICV’s, AFM’s, spark etc etc. we think the loom maybe plugged in wrong which has led to the sparks becoming soiled.
In a nut shell the dark plug was going into the blue temp sensor and the blue plug on the loom was going into that orangey one in that background. Now from checking two other M20 E30’s nearby (albeit they were manuals and not auto) the blue plug goes into the blue sensor. But where are these two sockets supposed to go? They both come off the same loom so can’t plug into eachother surely?

Thats not part of the injector loom, most likely signal sharing to the autobox ECU via an add on loom which would explain why its plugged into the engine temp sensor, most likely a manually switchable box?

Yes it is a switchable auto.. which essentially means it was plugged in correctly. So back to the drawing board!!
