I have an 89 convertible, and there are 2 gas struts in the manual roof mechanism itself, they help cushion the roof when lowering.
The struts clip in at the base, but at the top they fit into a plastic sleeve, BMW have the sleeve, but they can't find the pivot pin which holds the upper part of the strut in the mechanism.
I've looked at Realoem, and the strut itself is shown (part no 54311932751) as is the sleeve (part no 54311943751).
Does anyone know the part number for the pin itself, or even have one spare?

I thought the pins were built in.

The pins are separate as I removed the one (I lost), which now needs replacing!
