My car has basically been restored underneath. All polybushed and powdercoated etc with the exception of the bc coilovets which were on the car before so I reused them
I have a knock which occurs over bumps mainly when the rear left is unloaded I.e turning left, over sharp bumps and also it will do it under heavy acceleration in thr instant you apply throttle it will knock once or on a downshift if pulling the clutch aggressively it will knock
I've been under the car and double checked literally everything and all is tight. I really cannot find anything untoward.
I've even had the boot open and bounced on the rear end and I cannot get it to make the noise which has me a bit stumped
It has brand new halfshafts, everything is renewed including the bolts and hardware.!
Someone said about shock top mount but being bc cpilovers and gas adjustable, how do I change these? And also where do I even find them to buy ?
The car is heading to Germany next month for road trip and nűrbergring so I'd like to get ontop of this ASAP
Thanks in advance

Worth checking the exhaust mounts and alignment too.
Can you drive with someone in the back to narrow it down by listening or hire some 'Chassis Ears' to narrow it down. They are excellent for tracing noises.

I've checked the exhaust and it doesn't foul anything. I hoped not as the whole system cost me 1600 quid for the v8 and it's a quality bit of work
If it is top mount, where can I buy new ones and how do I change them being bc coilovers ?

That depends if your BC's are mounted to factory style top mounts or not. You can take a look behind the boot trim.
New OE style ones are available everywhere basically, including BMW themselves. If you take a look on RealOEM you'll be able to find the part number.

Exactly what I said, I checked the car just over a week ago and the top mounts are perfectly fine, as was everything else inspected. No noises when I test drove it either so looks like Ant fixed it himself
If only
our roads must be worse than your roads its still doing it. Very strange
