Been using these Mahle oil filters for a while now, part number was always OC49, quality seemed great and added bonus they are made in Austria.

So recently tried to order one and everywhere was saying it had been superseded by OC47 oil filter, so I've ordered one of these and to my dismay it says made in China. Feels and looks cheaper.

I now need to find an alternative as this won't be staying on the car for long. May have to try Bosch or get a quote from bmw.

Always tend to use Mann filters myself whenever I can. Filters are what they do.

Bit like bearings, I always use SKF when I can
