This is the 3rd time I've managed to get hold of an E30 and I am promising my self I am not going to sell it again.

Never owned a chromie, but this is a 320 Auto 2dr Saloon 1984 with 20k miles on the odometer. "A true barn find" says the seller :/ ..

A reg - I've actually brought this blind and have had it delivered to my parents home. Suffering from abit of a sickness right now and not even had a chance to see it in the flesh!

What's your thoughts .. 20k miles - HPI clear , not much service history , no MOT history on DVLA site ?

Is the car too good to be true?

I love the facelift standard mtec 2 looks. Any ideas or mods for this one

Will update the pics shortly

Based on the photo and what you've mentioned - it looks very tidy.
If the mileage is accurate the car is indeed a time capsule, you might be better off keeping it that way.

But if your heart is really longing for a MTech2...
Don't chop-up a chromie of this (apparent) quality to make it into a facelift car.

IMHO, you're better off tidying-up the car, flipping it and buying the car you really want.

^^^^THIS^^^^

otherwise the most I would do is Bilstein B12, Z3 shifter , maybe a set of 15" style 5 (but KEEP the bottletops) You might want purple tag rack but I'm not sure it has PAS anyway. Manual steering is character building :D

DO NOT butcher this, as above flip it and get a facelift few enough chromies left.

She’s a wise women, keep hold of her 😄

I think Flybynite has put forward the best options. Improved driving experience mods while retaining the stunning classic look.

Only other thing I might do is hunt down a good set of matching sport seats.

There is the obvious list of bigger things like a B25 and manual conversion, 51mm front legs, not sure if it has rear drums? but where do you stop? easier to flip it and get a facelift manual 325.

I would do the minimum and enjoy it for what it is. Only alter something if there is a good reason to do it, not do everything you can for the sake of it. Originality is rare these days and easily lost.

Keep as much of the original stuff as you can if you upgrade, especially the engine if it still has its original engine number.

Some things may be forced on you, the LE Jetronic is fun when it goes wrong and many things are NLA and used bits are no better than what you have.

I have done everything that flybynite has mentioned (and more). I have no doubt that these modifications have affected the value but it is all reversible should I ever feel the need (not that I think I ever will).

Some of the rust issues I'm having to face with too. Not sure where to start.

Ho majority of pics added. I've looked over the car.

1. Sun roof jammed doesn't roll back just tilts up. Does it only tilt up?

2. Inner arches and outer arches fully corroded and rusted out.

3. Chrome bumpers not really looking good. Wanted to go the mtech1 route but I'm thinking now due to all the rust and cutting I might aswel go the mtech2 route and face lift the car..

4. I know everyone saying keep it pre face lift, due to age of the car I don't want to buy another one. I live in London and subject to ULEz So they 1984 age really appealed to me as just one more to be a 40 year old heritage car

Nice find 8)

Unless you're planning to change the whole rear end to make the lights facelift it will always be a pre facelift (I believe the Pre facelifts look better personally)

Sunroof should slide back
