Had the same issue recently it was the milometer gears breaking up, not to hard to fix and plenty of YouTube videos available, just a couple of things to be aware of the make of the gauge cluster VDO or MOTOMETER. and the gears must be for MPH . the gears were from an Italian company www.snaporazmotorgarage.com .
As you can see the orange gear has a chunk out of it and half the small gear is missing. The gears with full instructions. The finished job

New gears arrived....just trying to 'collapse the small brass insert with pliers' from the old smallest gear shaft, as per instructions on the packet. Finding it very tricky it being so small and fiddly and tight....anyone offer any advice on a way of doing this delicate procedure?
Thankyou.
Thankyou.

This video from 4:39 gives good advice of how to remove the brass centre of the small gear also how far to push the new small gear on to the shaft. The small gear is a tight fit so you may need to hold the shaft as you push it on .

The light is probably just the bulb, as for the speedo check the signal from the diff speed sensor, elmarinero wrote: ↑Tue Sep 20, 2022 12:42 pmMilometer is not working including It’s light.

it is popular for the wires to break where they go through the cable tie under the boot floor, follow the loom up about 12" from the diff sensor.
