I need some help to identify a good trimmer to repair part of the drivers seat. Part of blue PVC edging strip came away some years ago, probably the result of lots of entry and exits in a tight lockup garage I’m guessing, and I’m desperate to get this sorted, it’s really bugging me now.
I thought I’d found a trimmer to sort it, but he’s unable to source the strip in anything but black, not great when it’s dark blue. He suggested he could paint it, but I’m really not keen.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Is it a comfort or sport seat? If it is a sport then tap Brutus up for a bolster. If it is a comfort seat I am sure he (or someone) will have a seat cover spare with a length of good piping. A good trimmer should be able to unpick and re-use the piping from an old cover.
Annoyingly I binned a blue rear seat cover last year that probably had the right piping

Painting vinyl blue will look perfect if done correctly with the right materials.

Real Vinyl paint sprays on like water - has excellent adhesion - leaves the original texture -
and survives ultra violet as well as abrasive damage surprisingly well -
Just did some parts on my T4 - they simply look new - and it won't scratch off either from hard plastic parts.
I've always used this brand - https://www.kolorbond.co.uk/vinylkote-p ... her-vinyl/
