I have a 1992 318i
I have a problem with acceleration.
it starts well and idles well.
The problem is the same in neutral and when driven through the gears.
At approx 2000rpm the car starts to "stutter" and lurch (when driven)
The symptom is like "lack of electrical power" see the consumption and fuel gauge twitch (is this a red herring)
Is it an ignition problem?
Im thinking Throttle position switch as a first visit.
Am I right that if the CPS was "duff" the car would not start?
