There wasn't really a black carpet. The dark interiors had a sort of anthracite grey colour carpet.

If you want an actual black carpet, you can get any colour carpet from a 6-cyl car and dye it black. (4-cyl had ribbed nylon carpets that are difficult to dye successfully)

Depends whether you want original or not.

Now that you mention it I think I have seen black nylon carpets in some of the 4-cyl cars. Never had much to do with them though

What I was trying to say is a getting a good black carpet is easy, the velour 6-cyl take to dye really well and you can take any colour carpet and dye it black. More chance of finding a good carpet in beige, blue or green etc than specifically looking for a good black one (especially if they are all nylon).

OK if not a black carpet a 6 cylinder carpet color is irrelevant as I'll be dying it.
