1987 BMW E30 325i UK registered cabriolet manual gearbox. Cirrus Blue bodywork, black hood and black leather interior seats. 64K genuine miles. This car was supplied by The Ashdown Garage, West Sussex on 16-02-1987 and still has the original number plates fitted. I am the second owner on the V5. A very very genuine car which I believe to be 90-95% original in every way and that has a very near complete service history at main dealers with the last big service being done in July 2021 at Ipswich BMW Dealership @63702 mls. They also carried out renewal of the brake fluid.
This car was a holiday car based in Spain and Italy by the first UK owner, hence the condition of the body and hence the very low milage. I bought the vehicle off a dealer who re-imported it back to the uk and who had connections with BMW Hull, but who never actually used it or registered it in their name.
To my knowledge no welding has ever been done to the chassis or bodywork and it is such good sound condition, almost like new. Waxoyled underneath and behind the interior trim panels. The original paintwork still shines like the day it was built although there a some age related marks you would expect to find a car of this age, now being nearly 35 years of old. This car has not been molested like many others of this era. So I would say 90-95 % original. I have replaced a few of the original aesthetic parts which have worn over time but have retained these to pass on to the new owner should they wish to re-fit them for originality. i.e. gear knob; centre console; radio; The speakers have been replaced too as the paper had decayed and the original Pioneer radio cassette has been replaced with the latest Retro Dab Blaupunkt bluetooth Bremen SQR which is awesome and relative to that era. The tool kit is complete and comes with a full alloy spare wheel, as they did in those days.
It will come with 12 months MOT, which is due in March.
The interior has worn very well with the black leather seats showing the normal age related patina but no rips tears or the like.
The wheels have been refurbished by AW Smart repairs nr. Ipswich and genuine locking wheel bolts have been fitted. Tyres are very good. New clutch slave cylinder last week and in the process of replacing the fuel pump.
It has a good history file with the original handbooks and service book and various invoices and mots etc and also the little torch in the glovebox although this sadly does not work. Also some of the import documentation is present.I have a few copies of pictures when it was bought new by the first owner and some copies of pictures when it was based abroad. This has been a fantastic car for the relatively short time I have owned it ( 2.5 years) and loved every minute of driving this classic head turner. Sounds awesome BTW.
I have documented all the minor things I have done to it with photos to back up. It has been garaged since my ownership and only taken out on road dry days.
It still has the original hood which has some stitching missing but only very minor. The immobiliser needs some attention.
It comes with the original key fob and two keys. This car wants for very little.
For those seriously interested I am very happy too provide any more information required along with more photos of the documentation etc.
Cars like this do not come up very often and in fact It took me two years of looking to end up with this example.
Asking price is £17775 OVNO. Based in Suffolk.
