Just done the valve clearances on my 325i and found accept No. 6 outlet to have no gap at all, and was wondering why. I was sort of expecting a bigger gap, don't no why though. If things were a bit worn it would make them sloppier. Is it just bad adjustment or is this whet happens over time.

Also noticed 2 cracks on 2 corners of the rocker cover and one of the bolts had stripped the thread from it's hole. Do you think this may be the cause of a low idle. Had checked everything else.
I have filled cracks with chemical metal for now and used it on the bolt, but am now worried I should'nt have put it on the bolt, any thought's?
cheers

Darren
