My rev counter and economy meter have decided to stop working AGAIN.
The cluster has had a new pair of si batteries fitted and it was working OK. Then I went out to the car and noticed it wasn't working so I stripped it all down and looked like a blackness on one of the tracks on the board.
So I took the board from a spare cluster I had here, put all my instruments in and put it in the car - everything working fine. Great

Few days later (today), noticed yet again the rev counter and economy meter aren't working.

Not bothered about the economy meter since its a v8 lol but why would my rev counter stop working like this again?

All other guages work fine except those two

I've checked and replaced fuses 10, 12, 21 and 27 and still no life in the rev counter 😢

I don't know if this could be an issue, but I haven't yet fitted a coding plug to match the v8 as it still hasn't arrived yet.

I did think to myself, well it was working before (all be it not correct readings) so why should it stop again suddenly, but could it have killed the coding plug??

I haven't driven the car on the road yet as I'm still trying to finish it off, so I've only had it running on the drive to do things like bleed the coolant system and stuff like this and suddenly again its stopped working which has pickled me since it hasn't been driven anywhere yet lol and it has been working before
