Just to motivate myself to do some stuff around the car, I'm planning to get a decent socket set.
Seems like Halford's professional rage isn't too shabby but the question is, is it worth paying over the odds for the 200 piece set instead of the 150 or even the 175 set? I mean I'll be working on a E30 and not some monster truck.
Thoughts welcome.

Few differences between the tools in the sets, you obviously get more parts in the bigger set, the ratchet spanners are better. Just make sure you buy the set when it's on offer, and find someone with a trade card who gets a decent discount. List price is £330,trade its £264.

Tools are good. Used them for everything. Have the 200pc set. Have been back with a few broken torx bits and they immediately gave me new ones no questions asked no fucking around.
I say get the 200

Thanks. Will certainly wait for a deal. They were doing a really good one for sub £200 last year.Mark999 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 9:38 pmFew differences between the tools in the sets, you obviously get more parts in the bigger set, the ratchet spanners are better.
