I need some help!! My 325i starts ok. Soon as it comes off the choke injector power falls off and it misfies and backfires really badly , eventually coming to a halt. I think it maybe the fuel regulator relay. Any idea's very welcome.

Assuming you're saying the engine performs OK until it begins to get hot, then the most likely problem is a dud engine water temp. sensor, telling the ECU it's still cold and over fueling. Cheap and easy to change.

I keep seeing ref to this sensor and replaced mine last year, but I'm starting to get the same / similar problem again.
The question is do they go as quickly as a year apart??
I'd some idea before I go out and get a new one
Cheers

Problem Solved!! Fitted new engine temperature sensor as suggested by Brian. NO problem since then. Thanks and well done!!
