Back again With another question hoping for help again.
So I got my car last week and the central lock didn't work so I did some searches and found the central locking unit was missing, this has been purchased now and the central locking work from the boot and passenger door except it doesn't put the drivers lock down, I am persuming I need a new actuator?
Or would it be a red and black wire mod
Central locking issue

More than likely the actuator is seized all right and the thrusting mechanisn on the actuator wont move to pull the levers to effect locking/unlocking. This thrusting mechanism should move freely on a good actuator and you can check this by hand. Unfortunately, these actuators are sealed and cannot be repaired. You haven't mentioned the petrol flap door which is also part of the central locking system. You would need to do the red/black wire mod anyway to tidy up the wiring as this can also cause problems in the circuit with unnecessary loops.

Please can you confirm I cut the two red/black wires from this plug then feed them together so it comes out of the plug then straight back in to the plug

It is years since I did this with my own car but here is an instruction I found,
Red/Black wire is a feed wire that is permanently live which feeds power to the Central Locking System
It arrives at the 'A' post, takes a trip into the driver's door to a socket to feed power for the rarely fitted heated door lock, then travels back out of the door via the 'A' post. It passes into the door through the multi-plug visible when the door is open.
This plug has a habit of collecting water, and as it is live all the time. It tends to corrode it's pins within the socket. Before this (Red/Black) wire takes it's almost useless trip in and out of the driver's door, it feeds the central locking relay that is hidden under the speaker in the driver's footwell. So corrosion in the 'A' post socket upsets the Central Locking System.
The (Red/Black) wire should be cut short of it's entry/exit into the drivers door and then be joined straight to the relay so that the loop through the driver's door is eliminated.
The two ends of this wire on the 'car' side of the 'A' post should therefore be soldered together, and suitable insulation applied to the join.
