EV Swap E30??

I am in the beginning stages of planning an ev swap e30 build. I am thinking I will use an m52 5 speed and stock diff/rear. I would be making an adapter plate to connect an ac motor to the transmission effectively replacing just the engine and the rest of the drivetrain would remain the same. I'm currently looking for a chassis to start with but if anyone has any suggestions of specific parts of a build like this let me know

Look into the Lexus GS450 Hybrid Gearbox, a couple of people in the EV Community have used them in BMW's there are two motors contained inside the gearbox itself. The gearbox also uses the same output coupler that matches BMW:



The only thing you need to consider is getting an appropriate oil pump for the gearbox, not sure if they made any progress in using alternative ones since i last looked at it.

I was planning to do this on my E61, but the cost of batteries just made it slightly pointless.
