Hey, I have a 1986 BMW E30 316i with a Toyota 3sge beams engine and am looking to upgrade my stock brakes. I dont want to go crazy so performance brakes are not really an option I was wondering if anyone had done such a swap and if they could share some wisdom. I was thinking e36 brakes, but also not sure if they would fit.
Thanks

welcome buddy,

never heard of a 3sge swapped e30 before.
as for better brakes that fit under 15's then danthe on here (dan) may be able to help you as he does a big brake kit that fits under srandard 15" alloys, can't hurt to PM him.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Dan does some great kits wich use OEM parts. There are kits available from the likes of Wilwood and Hispec which I supply to lots of people. It's handy to know what wheel set up you will be running?

The kit I do is put together from new road car parts, so you dont get the rattles/squeals assosiated with some of the 4 pot race style kits, it also uses a much larger mass disc than many other E30 brake kits available therefore the performance is superior,

They fit under all OEM/factory 15" BBS wheels, there are 3 or 4 versions with slightly different dimensions, so you may want a 5mm spacer for a little extra clearance which I can also supply with the kits.

I fitted Dan's setup a few months back and couldn't be happier. Brilliant fit and performance.

How much is this kit please for the front brakes, I have ned discs and pads already but they are standard and would prefer a kit with calipers so its all new.

Current price is £580, I am very low on parts at the moment so about to re-order and I expect the material/machining costs will go up as brexit/covid has happened since the last order!
