I'm new to E30s but not to BMW. I've had a few. Currently I have a 2004 330xi 6 speed and a 2007 M Roadster (with 25,000 miles on it!). My daughters and I are unapologetic BMW people!

Hello all.
I'm new to E30s but not to BMW. I've had a few. Currently I have a 2004 330xi 6 speed and a 2007 M Roadster (with 25,000 miles on it!). My daughters and I are unapologetic BMW people!
My youngest has a 2015 M235i xdrive and my oldest has a 2013 435i xdrive. My oldest is a definite gearhead and has always loved E30s. Well, she recently bought a 1991 318is with a horrendous rod knock. It's very rough. The previous owner was apparently trying to make a track car out of it. It has no interior, to speak of. Just a shell. Anyway, we've taken the motor and trans. (Getrag 240) out and will be putting in an M50 that came with the car. It's going to be a big project but we're both excited about it so I'll be gathering info (I've already done a LOT of reading on the subject) and asking plenty of questions.
