Bare metal respray recommendations/cost

Hi,

I am looking to do a bare metal respray on my E30 in the original 'Diamantschwarz Metallic'.

Can anyone suggest recommendations/ how much should it cost? (Excluding any rust repair)

You’re looking at 7k at least for this assuming the body shop will stop down the car.

Depends where you go but a friend recently had his M3 taken back to bare metal and with no rust repairs, it was around £14,000.

We have so many 'chapa de coche or repair shop here paint jobs are very cheap, an 'over spary' about 600€ and a total rip down and start from bare metal about 4K€ or I just buy from 'pintasucoche' and do it myself. a small kit 125cc 2K with tack rag, filters and jug, 27€, enough for two wings and a bonnet it turns out
What ever you want to do don't wait too long as the price of everything in the UK post Brexit is going up, steeply.
