Hi everyone. After selling my first e30 (87 325i) late last year, I missed her too badly and recently purchased a 86 325e. I really appreciate the positive environment on the forums and look forward to continuing to learn more about these awesome cars. Thanks!

Now that looks in lovely condition and even the "bumpers" look ok too.
No side repeaters on the wings , interesting..............

No they are side markers, they don't flash. Some did mod them to do both.
Not that I know of. Over there they are know as "Euro" repeaters but then again they were not on all of ours over here before it became law either. Quite a few early chromies had no side repeaters, including mine.

As it is a left hooker I'm guessing yours is not a UK carCloggy Saint wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 5:02 pmMy '89 touring doesn't have them, so not just a pfl thing.
I was able to buy a FL wing with no hole from BMW couple of years ago. I bought it because it was cheaper, more metal less money.........not often you get that form BMW

I’m not sure yet how it compares to the 325i. The e has been sitting idle off and on throughout its life and has less than 29k miles. I have driven it very little and presently have it with a local shop just to be sure no vacuum leaks fuel issues or other probs exist before I run her much. The timing belt had been changed, head valve and exhaust gaskets changed, water pump, ignition wires and spark plugs and alternator and battery replaced along with right and left rear axle seals - all work done in the last year prior to my purchase. The i had come to me with a 4.10 LSD and I added some suspension tweaks during my ownership. It was very quick- scary quick and exceptionally tight. Really a great sedan but I sold it without thinking I would miss it and soon regretted it. The e is all original with 2.93 open diff. I know it will be much different than the i and I may want to look into swapping the diff for a 3.25 or 3.46 LSD in the future since not much straight road to get over 50 mph around here…but I really like that it is a coupe and all original and its an e30, so I’m confident that the tight mountain roads around my home will just as fun as they were with the i . Thanks for the kind words and thanks once again for the opportunity to be part of the on line community.
