Some time ago I stripped my steering rack to fit new seals and boots but since then the steering has gone from nice and light to a heavier feel, still giving assistance but heavier. Any Ideas?
Definitely still working but not as light as it was.

Missed this. 
Just a thought, do you have the correct fluid in ?
I had to top up big style the e46 fluid and I had a new container of ATF from the e30 but I noticed it was much thicker than the stuff he has put in now.

I will try a flush and refill with correct fluid, soon.
