Quick one, guys - may sound funny, but when you remove the steering wheel, apart from the centre nut is there anything else holding it in place?

I can’t seem to budge my one.
Thanks.

Just the centre nut and possibly the steering lock?

Hi Cloggy.
Steering lock is on. Centre nut and washer removed, but it feels like something is holding the wheel in place.
I wondered whether there was some other grub screw that needed to be removed before it came off and where this might be.

Thanks.

If the steering lock is on then that will hold the wheel in place!

Ah!! Okay. Let me try. I’m sure that’s why I can’t get it off.
Thanks very much!

Sometimes they need a big smack with both hands from behind to shock it off thats if the steering lock is off lol.
A VERY BIG WORD OF CAUTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Put the nut back on for a couple of threads first before trying this.
If not then you would join the "Wheel in face club" which looks like it could hurt big style.

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
