Hi all!
Firstly, thank you for having me here on the e30 forum!
I'm currently on the look out for an e30, I know they're now going up in price and seem to be getting harder and harder to get hold of. There is one for sale close by (I'm south UK), but doesn't come with any history and the MOT history show a dip in milage then shoots back up again, is it worth holding out for something in better shape (looking to spend up to 12k), or do I grab and run as they're getting rarer to find?
Any advise welcome!
Joe

Don't grab anything for the sake of it. There's plenty out there and with youe budget you can easily get a good example. Sometimes mileage changes can be as simple as a f*ck up from the tester or simply someone changed the clocks because the old ones broke and they plonked some new ones in. Check the reg in the DVLA MOT History checker (sounds like you have) and see if there are any advisories or fails from 'strucutral rust'. Thats always my firsty port of call. It gives you some clues on where to check if you veiw and you can see if it was done properly or done by 'a mate who can weld' (they rarely can).

They are all very reliable! And if they break they're simple to work on and fix. 12k should get you a nice example so take your time and shop around. Beware dreamers who are selling basket cases but slap on an unrealistic price tag just because it's an E30.
