After looking for some good condition sport seats for months and seeing most in bad condition at ridiculous priced I decided to be a bit different and picked up some Recaro LS new old stock in Monza fabric from 1989. Off to pick up today and will post pics of them in the car. Looks to be a great alternative to sport seats. Cost me £1000 for the pair which seems to be the price for bad condition sports seats.
Here's some pics from the seller: More pics to follow

Most of those Recaros have the same bolt fixing, Recaro do a specific set of adapter rails to fit to the E30 base. They are not cheap but there are a few aftermarket versions for about £100Cloggy Saint wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 10:44 amNice, do you know what car they were originally intended for? Are the runners compatible?

Mine came with them but they were in the Alpina deckchair fabric that did not last well and came out after I found a pair in the car's proper trim. Thankfully I hung on to them. Both pairs need work that will not be cheap but I did buy a load of spare parts in the form of some mint Ford Recaro LS for peanuts some years back. Plan was to trim one pair in black leather but the deckchair is growing on me after 30 years of hating, must be me getting old.....Cloggy Saint wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 12:32 pmI consider myself extremely lucky to have picked up a set of heated E30 Recaros before prices (and availability) went crazy. I only paid the equialent of about £250!
I found a pair of SR2 that I am mounting on the E30 frame using the Recaro adapters for the other car as I have no inclination to wait for a set of M3 runners to come up or pay the price

Were apparently quite popular with 911/M3 owners. Don't think these were made for any car, came with no runners. I got some adaptor plates which make them run on e30 stock seat runners.Cloggy Saint wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 10:44 amNice, do you know what car they were originally intended for? Recaro are now remaking this seat, for their classic line, and asking 2.3k per seat...

Only one fitted as guy who sold me the adaptor forgot the 4 bolts (have custom spacers aswell so couldn't just go to Screwfix). But I have to say look pretty good!

How have you managed to attach the seat belts? Do they bolt into your adaptor rails? I'm in the same situation as you were in, want better seats but I refuse to drop a grand on some battered seats that need professional reupholstering

Hi mate, I got some adaptors for the rails from m fabrics, they work pperfectly. You take the rails off your current seats, add the adaptor plate on the bottom of the recaros and then put them on the rails and done.

In total these set me back by £400 which I'm quite happy about considering condition. The white Recaro writing has worn away on back rest and there is a small tear on the leg support on the underside (I'm going to stitch to make sure it doesn't travel further) but apart from that, they are pretty mint. Diaphragm or under webbing is really tight and the bolsters are really firm.
Cheer man, I will drop him a line
Ah good spot! Found some old advertising for them and I they are indeed LXB.
