320i auto for UK sepc had 4.45 diff iirc

Find that in LSD form tony an you have struck gold for the IS!

get your hands on a 3.91 slipper mate

the 4.45 gearing will be good for accelration but naff on the motorway

Is it worth me having it welded up?
Never had experience of doing this or how its done,but my mate is a TIG fabricator by trade so it would be done well.

Good or bad idea?

At least untill i get my hands on a more suitable one :)

it would be up until the point it goes bang into a load of pieces on da track!!! been there done that with cortinas. good for fields not so hot for grippy tarmac
