Heya everyone, I’m going to be picking up my first E30 325i sport next week hopefully, (pictures will soon to follow

) I was just wondering if there’s any suggestions for agreed value insurance companies?
Thanks for any answers And hopefully I’ve posted this in the right section, apologies if not

I’ve been using Classic Line Insurance, agreed valuation process was easy, easy to speak to a human, email response is good. Premiums aren’t expensive. Worth a punt.

I have been using Footman James for a few years now for 2 cars. Found them easy to deal with. My only gripe has been - after renewing for a day or two on the MID insurance database the car comes up as not insured!

Just had my first sensible, but still pricey, quote
TP with breakdown, glass 211.00€
TPFT, 350.51€
FC 602.00€ with 300 excess.
Last two require a garmented value certificate. so additional cost there.

All comments by me should be taken in the right sprite, Jack Daniels is fine.

I just insured my first 325i.
It's insured as a classic (second car, no more than 4000 miles per year). I got fully comp, after a small discount for €258. Only have to supply the usual documentation.
Value insurance companies depends on where you are. I'm in Ireland.

My last renewal for 316 was £112 agreed value and £76 for mk1 Fiesta with a higher agreed value!

I pay around £400 fully comp on a multi policy for both my sports, with agreed valuations.

I like A-Plan (underwritten by MarketStudy).
I had a prang with a DHL van (his fault) and they were great. Car needed a new wing, bumper and wishbone, and to avoid costs escalating they gave offered me a cheque to get the work done myself to prevent it going down as a write off. Including their flexibility there (and in other previous examples around needing to use it for business use in an emergency) they've just been very good. And the best price I could find too.

I think the question is who are you using for the agreed values?

Depends where one lives. here it is a accredited car club, in my case SOL Classic Car Club.

thats where I got mine done too. Yet to see anyone use their valuations for insurance purposes though. Would need to see if they actually accept them. I can't get agreed value insurance cos I'm 22 and the e30 is my only car. Had to go with a normal policy and get a valuation from bmw car club. Hope if I ever need to use said valuation that it will be used correctly by insurance company

My agreed value is based on sending images to the insurer.
My last insurer said they would provide a valuation of £11k. Anything above this would require an independent valuation (they didn't say who would be the valuer).
However, having recently had a discussion with an accident repair shop that works with loads of insurance companies, they suggested the AV should be set at £17k or at a minimum of £15k. (They did some paint rectification work for me).

Have you tried the insurance company that the Car Club are in with? Daily driver or not I don't see the difference, its still a car that is appreciating so no reason not to insure it correctly other than they don't want to cough up should anything happen

Yes I have
All the places I've tried have told me that a classic policy (which is where you get agreed value from) can only be done on a secondary vehicle and 9/10 of them wouldn't do it for me anyway as am below 25
