:?

Been having a long running problem with my Touring (325)

Cold running idle and pickup is poor, fine once its warm

Gone through everything,

Airleaks,
Blue Sensor (inc wiring)
Stat
TPS
Plugs, Leads, Rotor, Cap
AFM arm reset
New TB-AFM elbow
Replaced (2nd hand - assured working ) ICV and ECU
etc etc

Was retrofitting a remote central locking module last week so had the battery disconnect. After re-connection the car ran great, revs flared at startup and dropped to ~1200rpm, then dropped as it got warmer until it was at normal idle. Pulled great out of junctions etc

Now its crap again :?

Any idea why? Seems to me the car can run right so why doesnt it all the time - can it learn a 'bad' value/fault?

Help/thoughts/opinions welcomed!!

Does the car have an after market chip?

Having the battery disconnected for some time may have blanked the memory of it and it may have to learn the car again.

But im only guessing.

might be worth removing the battery again for a few minutes and retrying it just to make sure it was that and not something else you may have bumped or moved while doing your central locking so you can narrow it down a bit
