Hi All.
A lamp that illuminates the Rev counter has blown. Can anyone advise on the part number or an alternative replacement, please.
The lamp that illuminates the speedo seems fine. I presume they are the same items, so I’ll replace both.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ben. Cotswolds were having difficulty (like me) in establishing the correct bulbs. You wouldn't know of a supplier with the same type of lamps, would you - save me paying BMW prices for something that is a cheap item.
Cheers.
Cheers.

I think there is two types of bulbs in the cluster? I don't know for sure but when I opened mine up I remember seeing some large bulb holders and some small ones for warning lights/rev counter I think? Should be 1.2w and 3w
Now each wedge bulb just sits in a holder so I think you just wanna go for something like this?
1.2w https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133778414435 ... SwTnBgt6H2
3w https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293780081818?
You can reuse all the holders from the bulbs in there, i think!
Might be worth a shot as cheap on ebay.
You may need the 3w bulbs to be orange. I forgot if the tracks that carry the light make it coloured or not.onthames wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 11:44 amI think there is two types of bulbs in the cluster? Thank you. That's very helpful. I think the bulbs are clear.

Different resistance maybe. Adding a resistor in series might fix it but you're probably better off buying a LED with higher resistance.Bonymaenjack wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 9:11 pmI've fitted 2 x LEDs in my rear number plate which work fine but the warning indicator in the check panel remains on as if the bulbs have failed, possibly due to the load being lower than having "normal " bulbs fitted ?
Or lower resistance actually, I think. I'm terrible with electronicsonthames wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 9:16 pmDifferent resistance maybe. Should clarify a bit, it’s just the clock that dims. ie ignition on. Clock lights up nice and bright. Lights on. Clock dims and OBC buttons light up but dim.

Mine doesn't using this overpriced thingy
You have a clock and an OBC?
The OBC screen is meant to dim when the lights are on so that it does not give out too much light in the cabin.

I think these might be the lamps if you wish to buy them in singles. - Not sure, so please say so, if they are not.

Does anyone know whether these should be orange?
Cheers.

Obviously didn’t clarify very well, by clock I mean the OBC screen which shows time date etc. Thanks for reply

There are 2 clear cap less 12v 3w bulbs for the instrument cluster back light, they shine through orange lenses built in to the cluster. The R504 bulbs will do fine or Osram for quality https://www.osram.com/ecat/ORIGINAL%20- ...
